A Controversial Law
This report - filmed in Milan, Bresso, Brescia and Pavia - addresses the controversy over the enforcement of the Lombardy regional Law No 6 governing the running of call shops, which entered into force on 3 March 2006. This measure caused more than just a few public demonstrations by the owners of call shops.
They argue that the majority of the 3,000 Lombardy call shops would be forced to shut down because of the high compliance costs of the new standards.
